Super-strong, computer clever and alarmingly loud – these are the attributes of the Oxford Boss Alarm lock. Security and luggage specialists Oxford Products have revised their revolutionary Boss Alarm disc lock to be more potent than ever.

The strongest disc lock in the Oxford range now features a more sophisticated motion detector to clearly distinguish the movements of a deliberate tampering or an attack. Once triggered, the Boss Alarm omits a piercing 100+decibel siren which simply can’t be ignored and which would unsettle any would-be thief

Proved impenetrable in five minute attack scenarios by security specialists Thatcham, their approval makes the Boss eligible to reduce insurance premiums. Further reassurance comes from approval by the equivalent organisations in Holland, France, Sweden and Norway where theft is taken equally seriously.

Not just defiant in the face of thieves, the Boss Alarm also resists attack from the elements; Thatcham’s 5 year life-cycle test ensures the product is proofed against water, frost, heat and vibration. Oxford even supplies it with spare batteries!

The Boss Alarm is available with two shackle sizes and can double up with an equally tough chain, which boasts hardened steel links in a choice of three lengths. Every Boss Alarm comes with three semi-elliptical keys, a lock reminder cable and a carry pouch
  • Boss Alarm – 14mm shackle £64.99
  • Big Boss Alarm – 16mm shackle £69.99
  • Boss Alarm + 12mm chain from £110
  • Big Boss Alarm + 14mm Chain from £135
Key features:
  • Oxford’s strongest lock
  • 100+db alarm controlled by sophisticated motion sensor
  • Thatcham approval can lead to insurance discounts
  • Five year life-cycle tested
  • Water, vibration, frost and heat-proof

"You Should Be Alarmed" Indeed you should be. Protecting your bike with a chirping lunch pail... The Boss has three main weaknesses: 1. it's a pale imitation of a Xena on the alarm front (which is louder, uses shock & motion sensors), 2) it's even paler vs. Abus or Xena on strength (double-locking, pick proof and overall anti-theft value) 3) it looks like a Czech geiger counter redesigned by Bob the Builder...
