Davide Giugliano (Lightspeed Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R) ended his second home race of the 2007 season in pitlane, having retired from what was an aggregate Supersport race at Misano after only 17 laps had been completed.

The 17-year-old rider from Rome could not find the speed he needed in qualifying to allow him to challenge at Misano, and thus he started the aggregate race from the 17th spot on the grid

In the race he experienced problems with the set-up of his machine and he had to concede places to his rivals, dropping him out of the points scoring positions. He had been as high as 11th place until the problems worsened through the race. He is now 22nd overall, on 21 points.

Davide Giugliano:

“I did my best but we did not find a good set-up here for the machine and in the race, after the mid race point, the bike was becoming too difficult to ride, impossible to keep going fast, so I felt I had to pull in after I dropped out of the points scoring positions.”
