A father has been killed and his daughter left with life-threatening injuries in a motorbike crash.
The 46-year-old man, from East Cowes, Isle of Wight, was riding a Kawasaki bike which collided with a car at Mersley Down on Saturday afternoon.
He died in hospital. His 12-year-old daughter, who was riding pillion on the bike, is now in the Southampton General Hospital's neurological unit.
The female car driver was treated at the scene for shock, but was uninjured.
The crash happened at the junction of Stroud Wood Road and Rowlands Lane.
Police are appealing for witnesses, and ask anyone who has information to call 0845 330 2000.
