Relentless Suzuki Academy rider Luke Dean became the All British Small Wheel 85cc Champion at the weekend after a hectic weekend of racing at the event at Brookthorpe in Gloucestershire. A single event, that involves racing throughout the weekend, saw Relentless Academy riders out in force, with Luke Dean scoring multiple podium places, before two wins on the last day secured victory.
In the big wheel 85cc class, Shaun Springer rode strongly, proudly flying the flag for the academy to finish his class in joint third on points at the end of the weekend.
Academy coach, Paul Butler commented, “What a great weekend for our riders. Hats of to Luke, he rode superbly all weekend, and deserved to take the title at the end of the day. Shaun, showed great pace and consistency, and has real promise for the future. I’d also lilke to congratulate Tim Truman for a great sixth place overall on the RM-Z250 in the AMX event too”.
