The breathtaking finale of the 2006 British Superbike Championship at Brands Hatch is just under 3 weeks away! Britain's Leon Haslam has been fighting with Ryuichi Kiyonari and Gregorio Lavilla all season long, with the championship lead changing hands at almost every round. The leading trio have been almost inseparable and will arrive at Brands Hatch?s Grand Prix circuit with the title still up for grabs. To spice things up even further, double points are on offer, with 100 still in play for the two pulsating races, truly making it anyone?s title!
Meanwhile, Shane "Shakey" Byrne will be looking to finish his season on a high, while James Haydon will be back after recovering from injury and crowd favourites Karl Harris and Michael Rutter will want to please their legions of fans.
MotoGP will also be coming to Brands Hatch for the very first time as John Hopkins attempts to smash the bike lap record on his Rizla Suzuki Grand Prix machine! The bike has taken a GP pole position this year in the hands of 'the Hopper', making sure that it?ll be super-quick over a timed lap of the famous Kent circuit!
There will also be final rounds for all BSB support series, including the stars of the future in British Supersport and Superstock, the 125GP Championship and the Virgin Mobile R6 Cup.
