Royal Enfield enthusiasts and motorcyclists wanting to discover more about the world’s longest surviving motorcycle manufacturer will have an opportunity to see and try the current range at the first ever official Open Day this July.

Watsonian Squire, who took over UK distribution of the 105 year-old brand in 1999, are throwing open the doors to their factory on the weekend of 22nd/23rd of July to celebrate their successful relationship with Royal Enfield. Last year nearly 600 new Royal Enfield Bullets were registered in the UK, which means that they comfortably out-performed other niche European brands, such as Moto Guzzi and Sachs.

Visitors will be able to peruse the current range of Royal Enfield motorcycles, from the basic 350cc Classic which sells for just £1,995 on the road to the exclusive Bullet Electra café racer specials, with their lean burn alloy 500cc engines, which top the range at £4,699. A fleet of demonstrator machines will be available for test rides, including a British-built Watsonian sidecar combination.

Full details have yet to be finalised, but guests can expect displays of historic machines, refreshments, factory tours and technical briefings.

The Royal Enfield Open Day will be held at the Watsonian Squire factory, near to the Cotswold market town of Moreton-in-Marsh, on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd July 2006 from 10.00 AM to 6.00 PM. You can get details from Watsonian-Squire on 01386 700907, or you can click on the link below to find out more.
