Michelin Pledge Support For 2007

Michelin tyres have immediately responded to the 3-way agreement between the ACU, the AMCA and Moto GB to drive forward Supermoto Racing within Great Britain by providing a generous prize fund of Supermoto race tyres. Michelin dealer Robinsons of Rochdale will provide the logistics for storage and transportation of the tyres and the actual prizes will be awarded at selected events throughout the 2007 calendar via two different prize schemes.

The "Michelin Tyres / Robinsons Of Rochdale - Ride Of The Day" award will be presented to the rider who in the opinion of the judges demonstrates commitment, race craft and bravery on track to a level far in excess of other riders in his class or group.

The "Michelin Tyres / Robinsons Of Rochdale - Ouch That Hurts" award will be presented to the rider who in the opinion of the judges demonstrates a sense of humour after a particular run of bad luck during the racing weekend.

The judges will include a representative from the ACU, AMCA, Moto GB and Robinsons of Rochdale. The tyres will be presented at the end of the day during the main prize giving ceremonies.

The organisers of this year’s series welcome the return of Motorcycle Trade support for UK Supermoto racing and look forward to making similar announcements prior to the start of the season.
