2008 will see the newly formed MKW Suspension field a two man team focusing on British Superbike in the Junior Superstock class and the New Era Superclub Formula 600 Championship. The new Triumph team will be run by Chris Moore, owner of the newly formed business MKW Suspension. The busy year will see Chris not only with a new business venture but take two relatively new riders and nurture them in the British championships. Moore is keen to dispel the myth that suspension is a ‘black art’, offering race engineering services through practical workshops to understand your motorcycle. Moore has previously worked with Centurion Honda and was instrumental in helping Pete Spalding to the 2006 British Supersport Cup title and won the 2007 New Era Superclub 600 Championship with RLR Motorsport and Steve Tomes.

MKW Racing will field one rider in the Junior Superstock series and another in the New Era Formula 600cc Championship. The Leicestershire based team will be assisted by two Ex-British Supersport riders Steve Tomes and Brian Nicholson, who will tutor the riders and join in with Chris to give expert advice. The team is joined by Paul Castle of Brain Tuned Sport Psychology Solutions, to guide the rider’s steep learning curves as they move up to the British Championships. Paul's book, entitled, "Psychology of Motorsport Success: How to improve your performance with mental skills training", will be released for sale by Haynes publishing in April and is written specifically for racers.

27 year old, Marcus Wade continues with Moore after a successful 2007 which saw him come second in the Sound of Thunder New Era Superclub Championship. Competing in both the Sound of Thunder & Formula 600 classes, this accelerated his learning and he became a race winner in both classes in his first full season of racing. A Wild Card ride at Donington Park British Supersport saw him finish 21st, his first venture at British Level. Marcus will be continuing in the New Era Superclub with an aim at winning the Formula 600cc Championship, with the victor of the series receiving a brand new bike. He will be using his skills of suspension setup from Chris’ tuition in 2007 with the intention to be self sufficient in his aim for victory.

Sam Middlemas is the newest recruit to the MKW squad and will be looking to improve on 2007 after taking multiple victories. The now 20 year old impressed over the year with his performances including a club lap record on the way to a Thunderbike class victory at Brands Hatch despite carrying injuries from a high speed crash just days before. Like his teamster Marcus Wade, Sam has built himself a reputation as a wet weather rider with a win or stretcher style in the wet this season. Starting out in schoolboy motocross Sam moved to Supermoto for just a season before finally making the jump to road racing in 2006. Middlemas already has a years experience on a Superstock spec 675 and should make a fast transition into the junior Superstock category in 2008.

The team plan to race in selected New Era Superclub events throughout 2008 as well as taking part in all of the British Superbike series.

Chris has done a great job of putting the team together, it's very impressive Jay, and I'm looking forward to being part of it. Best of luck for the season ahead Sam and Marcus.
