Brilliant news as GR Motosport rush towards this weekends World Superbike event at Brands Hatch with Jon Boy! GR Motosport are pleased to announce that after visiting with the Team at the circuit, and other evaluation work, Mike Garth has agreed to provide his services to the Team. Mike’s business, Sun1400 is a Performance Coaching consultancy based in Sheffield and helps British motor sports athletes and their teams to perform better. Faster lap-times through the use of sports psychology is what it is all about, and more is revealed about this  new way to put one over the opposition at www.sun1400.com.

With a strap-line of ‘Sun1400: Sunday 2pm – Ready to Race?’ it’s run by vastly experienced ex-F1 racing engineer Mike Garth. Prior to working with Toyota in F1, Mike raced both single-seater cars and Classic Sports Cars in National Championships, and bagged seven World Series titles as an engineer in Champ Cars. The ex-Toyota F1 engineer said “with GR Motosport /Team Scan/Intel and Lisa both being Sheffield based there was a great opportunity for GR Motosport to work together and like any good racer, we’ve taken it. Working with Lisa and the team will be awesome and I can’t wait to get stuck in.”

GR Motosport/Team Scan/Intel and Sun1400 have already started developing their programme and all are looking forward to improvement in the races to come. As one of Sun1400’s key beliefs states: “If you stand still, you go backwards!”

“We all work very hard on the bikes and race equipment, and if something gets damaged we fix it right away, working all hours and regardless of budget.

This advantage can all be lost very easily if the Team or any of its members lose their way. In Mike Garth and Sun1400 we feel we have
added another tool box to the equipment inventory and we look forward to seeing what’s in each draw” commented Team Business Director ‘Tony Robinson’ who went on to add “that Mike, being Sheffield based, he would be able to work closely with Lisa and look to assist Connor and Jon Boy.”

Brent Gladwin said “Let’s be fair we all have to be a little crazy to be in the sport, having the Brain Doctor sounds like a great fix! – Laughing apart we know that the worlds leading sports people use sport psychology in all aspects of their own individual areas. We believe in it but the difficult part has always being finding the person with the correct individual knowledge of your own sport, and in Mike I am sure we have found that for ours.”

“Mike has spent time with us at the track and I have seen him in his offices in Sheffield, I am looking forward to our work together moving me back towards better results” smiled Lisa!
