As a competition, the Superstock 1000 FIM Cup is attracting growing attention from the media and from the sponsors. Now, at last, it looks as if television is finally about to bring these exciting race events the recognition they so thoroughly deserve. Starting from the race at Valencia in Spain thay took place last 23rd April, Sportitalia will be transmitting all Superstock championship races Live. Eurosport 2 will also broadcast the race live in an experiment that could soon be repeated. The Italian LA7 has scheduled Superstock 1000 racing into their terrestrial digital programmes. Supersport will start broadcasting the races in South Africa. Nuvolari has confirmed that Superstock racing will be broadcast, though not live, as part of an extended weekly coverage of motorcycling.
Finally, in the UK, a new motorcycling programme entitled ‘Bike Sport News’ Will Go Out On Men And Motors/ITV, with Superstock 1000 included in the programme’s scope.
