This week the Motorcycle Industry Association (MCIA) is holding the annual National Motorcycle Week in order to promote the benefits of motorcycling. The 18th July was also 'Ride to Work Day' which Scottoiler fully supported by encouraging all of its staff to ride either their motorcycle or bicycle to work. The theme of this year's event is "Now is the Time" which aims to encourage new riders to sit their motorcycle test before the 2nd European Driving Licence Directive is introduced in September 2008. Approximately 1/3 of Scottoiler staff currently hold a motorcycle licence with another member due to sit their test in the near future.
Scottoiler fully supports the aim of National Motorcycle Week and Ride to Work Day. Fraser Scott - the inventor of the Scottoiler - is committed to commuting daily on either his motorcycle or bicycle in order to cut pollution and congestion in the area. Also, approximately one third of Scottoiler's entire workforce regularly commute on two wheels.
As part of this commitment to the environment Scottoiler has recently held a raffle with the proceeds being donated to Sustrans - the UK's leading sustainable transport charity.
