If you want a slot on the grid of the most exciting one-make series of 2007 then get a move on, as time’s running out and there’s not many places left. You can enter the Super Duke Battle series now and get hold of your KTM 990 race machine with the payment of a £1000 deposit to any official UK KTM dealer, but the final deadline for entries is at the beginning of April when the entire £6500 for the machine will be due. You will need to purchase the mandatory race kit for £1300 and also have the chance to buy a spare wheel kit with discs costing just £700, from series co-ordinators and long standing KTM dealer, Bracken Motorcycles. A major factor in keeping the costs down is the fact that the bike is yours to keep after the series.

Then you’ve got until the first round on April 28th to get yourself and the bike into gear, so you’ve got time to get the bike tuned within the regulations, get the suspension set up and have some practice on your awesome KTM 990 Super Duke race machine.

All you need to bring is your Full Clubman licence (or above), entry fees, fuel and get yourself some super sticky ContiRace Attack tyres. The overall series winner gets one of the fantastic recently launched 690 Supermoto’s. Second place in the series wins 10 sets of tyres courtesy of Continental and third place wins a KTM Minibike. Continental will provide trophies for the first three riders at each round with the race winner receiving a set of tyres, second place gets a rear tyre and third place gets a front tyre.

Shaun Sisterson, Managing Director of KTM UK comments: “We’re all so excited about the Super Duke Battle this year. It promises bar-to-bar racing on almost identical bikes, which will provide some outrageous racing at such prestigious events as the British Grand Prix. With only a few places available we’re hoping to fill up the grid to ensure the competitors and fans get the maximum amount of fun possible but at the same time making it as affordable as possible for the riders.”

With the bikes being almost identical, it will be your own riding skills that will determine the outcome. So, can you handle it?
