Motorcycle Cancer - Are motorcycles killing us with cancers of the prostate, colon, kidney, bone, etc? by Randall Dale Chipkar

No longer are helmets enough for motorcyclists to protect themselves. In his just released book, Motorcycle Cancer?, author Randall Dale Chipkar raises questions about motorcycle safety. He asks, "Are unsuspecting riders at risk for cancer development from electromagnetic radiation shooting up right between their legs?"

"Is it a paradox that thousands of motorcycle riders participate in fundraiser rides for cancer awareness when the event itself may be causing cancer?" asks Chipkar.

He adds, "Are motorcycles shooting potentially carcinogenic electromagnetic (EM) energies into the rider as a 'Death Shower' from below? Could this increase the risk of developing lymphomas, leukaemia or cancers of the prostate, testicle, colon, bladder, kidney, liver, pancreas, stomach, etc? Are both the heart and immune system also at risk? Various non-motorcycle electromagnetic energies have been called 'Invisible Death' and 'The Silent Killer'."

Chipkar is a man on a mission: to protect motorcyclists worldwide. He considers motorcycle EM radiation a possible "Black Plague" for innocent riders. "I have met countless avid motorcycle riders diagnosed with similar forms of cancers and disorders. All of these riders had a type of extremely low frequency (ELF) electromagnetic field (EMF) radiation shooting up from their motorcycle seats. This does not establish proof by any means and further investigation is warranted," he adds.

Chipkar wrote a book called Motorcycle Cancer? Are motorcycles KILLING US with cancers of the prostate, colon, kidney, bone, etc? If the title sounds shocking, it is meant to be. By sharing his views, he hopes to generate worldwide attention to and awareness of his potentially devastating discovery.

"The motorcycle industry needs to further investigate this possible EM danger and, if necessary, implement protective measures to minimize rider radiation exposure. Consumer safety is priority. An EMF radiation shielding seat can provide riders with peace of mind," he says.

Chipkar adds, "Historically, governments and various EM related industries (hydro-electric, cell tower, cell phone, etc.) have denied EM health effects so as to not create panic. Governments need to reassess their position on electromagnetic health issues for public safety. Science proves electromagnetic danger. Now that a type of motorcycle ELF EMF has been exposed, I hope denial is not going to be considered as a solution," Chipkar concludes.

EM world reactions, explanations, biological concerns and suggested rider solutions are discussed in Chipkar's book, Motorcycle Cancer? which is available at www.motorcyclecancer.com along with further information.

Thanks for the interesting tip I'm not sure I buy the link between motorcycles and cancer, though. I covered it on my blog at http://cancer.battlingforhealth.com/2007/11/is-motorcycle-use-linked-to-cancer.

What a load of twoddle. All conjecture and no statistical data. This is like claiming religion is a science. Get some irrefutable proof and then join the EM-harms-us band-wagon with more credibility.

We should not miss the point here. If your motorcycle is pushing up
to 500 mG of ELF EMF radiation into your groin then there is reason
for health concern. Page 2 of the motorcyclecancer site presents
facts that cannot be ignored. Riding is dangerous enough and we
should not have to gamble with our health on this technical level
also. Cancers are becoming an epidemic and ELF EMF radiation is
emerging as a recognized carcinogen. To quote the site:

Individual responsibility leads to content accountability. Science
proves electromagnetic danger. Now that a type of motorcycle ELF EMF
has been exposed, I hope denial is not going to be considered as a
solution.

Ultimately the choice is our own to become more educated about these
EMF issues.

As for governments and industry keeping people in the dark about
emerging EMF health issues, I would like to quote the site again:

Many experts believe existing government regulations are extremely
inadequate concerning various EM close exposures and public safety.
Unfortunately this can create a false sense of well being for
different industries that claim compliance to government standards.
Where does that leave the consumer?

I feel that this Chipkar guy is bang on target and time will prove
him correct.

Epidemiology will only initiate through rider concern not ridicule.

The goal is to encourage the industry to keep riders safer.
