A 32 year old woman from Chiswick was involved in a dramatic confrontation with thieves last Friday (22nd April) at 3.10pm.
She was alerted by noise outside her home and looked out of her window to see a man loading her prized blue Suzuki 1000cc motorbike into a van. Bravely she ran out and grabbed the man by his jumper but he escaped into the van which was been driven by another man.
A chase ensued in which the woman followed the van down towards Edensor Road by Chiswick Pool. She caught up with them as the thieves had failed to secure the bike properly and needed to stop. Seeing her approaching they accelerated away again towards the lights but bike fell out of the back of the van causing £100 worth of damage.
The man who was loading the bike is described as a black male in his early twenties, about 5ft 9" tall and of a slim build wearing a blue jumper, dark blue tracksuit bottoms and trainers. The driver of the van was a white male in his early twenties wearing sunglasses and a grey t-shirt.
