Lock up your bikes in West London say MAG (Motorcycle Action Group). West and South West London has been targeted with bike theft spree following the theft of at least a dozen bikes in the last week or so. The culprits, four white males in their early 20's have been using a silver transit van, of which the number plate has been cloned. All the following details were sent to MAG and confirmed by the police.

Warning: Four white males aged about 20 involved in these thefts all from the West/South West London area. They are driving a silver transit Y414 VLD. Be aware that this is a cloned van. They have been seen on CCTV driving away without paying from two garages. The van in question is a Silver Ford Transit, the registration number given is correct as Y414 VLD. The real van that this number is from belongs to an electrical company in Uxbridge so it highly likely you will see it about. The real van has the name of the company on the sides, the rogue van is NOT sign written. So if you see a plain silver transit on the above registration number you have found the stolen/ghosted van.

Last Monday they stole a Kawasaki from Uxbridge industrial estate, they have also nicked a Suzuki from Cowley and another bike from out side a shop in Shepherds Bush. Also an R1, R6 and a GSXR 1000 among others. When challenged they claim the bike has run out of fuel and they are taking the bike to the nearest petrol station. If you have more information please pass it on to the police, do not approach the van or its occupants.

MAG offers through its MAG Protected Scheme a guaranteed cash reward of up to £1000 for information leading to the conviction of bike thieves. If you are a MAG member your bike is covered.
