Snetterton hosts the fifth round of the 2007 Bennetts British Superbike Championship this weekend, as the world's biggest domestic bike series reaches top speed on the super-fast Norfolk circuit! Last time out, Gregorio Lavilla and Ryuichi Kiyonari shared the spoils at Oulton, with Leon Haslam's pair of second places keeping him well in contention for his first BSB title. Shane 'Shakey' Byrne took his first podium for Stobart Honda and will be up with the leaders at Snetterton, while wonderkids Tom Sykes, Leon Camier and Jonathan Rea will aim to spring a shock on the leaders!
Super Speed Snetterton is one of the fastest circuits on the BSB calendar, and the Revett Straight, the longest straight on any race track in the UK, being the place to watch the 1000cc Superbike storm towards 200mph on race day! As many as 30 riders will be slipstreaming fighting it out all around the circuit, with the Russell chicane the place to be for a last-lap banzai move!
Alongside the two BSB races, Supersport, Superstock and 125 races make for a stunning day of two-wheeled action, which includes a unique drag bike attempting to break 200mph from standing down the Revett Straight! Good food, a great atmosphere and free parking add to what will be a superb day out for all the family.
For your bike racing fix, head down to Snetterton for some big British Superbike speed!
