AMA Road Racing Manager Morgan Broadhead is showing signs of improvement yet remains hospitalized at Shands at the University of Florida, in Gainesville, Fla.

Morgan was injured Friday, Sept. 28 while practicing for the WERA/AMA National Challenge Series at Jennings GP in Jennings, Fla.

According to his mother, Lee Broadhead, Morgan is showing steady improvement and is now conscious and alert.

Broadhead suffered a head injury, a broken left forearm and broken left wrist. As part of his treatment Morgan was placed in an induced coma.
The family is making plans to transfer Morgan to his hometown of Salt Lake City, Utah via air ambulance so he can continue the process of recovery and rehabilitation. Ms. Broadhead stated that she hopes to transfer Morgan as early as this week.

Ms. Broadhead said she and her family are delighted with the progress Morgan is showing and truly appreciates the outpouring of support that he has received from the motorcycle and racing communities.

The AMA will continue to issue updates on Broadhead’s condition as they become available.
