This summer, French helmet guru, Roof has launched a world first in the guise of the RO6 Bamboo. For the first time ever, the shell has been constructed entirely from bamboo fibres, producing a unique and distinctive look.
Bamboo is not just the staple diet of Panda’s. Indeed, its high tensile strength (superior to steel) makes it an ideal choice for a number of safety products including earthquake architecture, and now as a safety helmet.
With a reputation for design flair and pushing the boundaries beyond the norm, Roof has adapted the bamboo fibres to produce yet another stunning and unique design. Both resistant yet pliable, bamboo is naturally required to stand up to the mechanics and demands of high impacts and shock absorption.
Surpassing the required E22-05 standard for head protection, the RO6 Bamboo guarantees the necessary protection for riding.
