From April 06th to 10th, the first 3D Systems 2008 3DS Users’ Group (3DSUG) Conference will be held at the Hilton Orange County, Costa Mesa (California – USA). The 2008 Conference will include all technologies made by 3D Systems. The conference is open to ALL users of 3D Systems equipment (SLA, SLS, and 3-D printers).

CRP Technology has the great opportunity to attend this 3D SUG Conference with the aim to share own experience in SLS and Composite Materials knowledge and see how other businesses and users benefit daily from the Rapid Prototyping & Manufacturing technology. All that, in an open atmosphere for technology exchange.

In particular, on Wednesday 9th April, in the morning section, Mr. Stewart Davis, the new Director of Operations in CRP USA will present the paper “How to reach Rapid Manufacturing? Carbon fiber and SLS”, that would like to describe the main advantages obtained thanks to Windform® XT, the carbon fiber filled material for laser sintering technology, produced by CRP Technology, throughout the examples of some applications.

The Case studies of Ilmor Engineering, VM Motori SpA, Red Bull Racing, Penske Racing, CRP Racing Motorbike and Lamborghini SpA, will help us understand how Windform® XT complies the last requirements for end-users and service providers looking for Rapid Manufacturing, paving the road that others are only trying to pursue.

We are going to present the concept of moving from auto racing prototypes, to testing, to on track racing applications, and then to manufacturing used in the exotic car market. This shows Windform® as leading the way in this automotive adaptation: from testing, to track, to production.

Stewart Davis is the Director of Operations for CRP USA, our new US representative office, located in Southern California, near Los Angeles.

He’s working to introduce CRP Technology’s motor sports focused philosophy to North America.

The full paper of the Case Study will be soon online on CRP TECHNOLOGY’s website www.crp.eu and WINDFORM’s website www.windform.it.
