Last Saturday night the Supermoto GP arrived to Turin for a night of racing and show. Husqvarna riders were the main attraction of the event with their outstanding performances. In the S2 class, Gerald Delepine was feeling at ease in the rain on the wet and slippering dirt part of the track and won hands off the first heat. In race 2 Delepine started from 18th place due to a fall and immediately begun his "one man show" and recovered up to 4th place at 10 laps from the end.
While trying to pass the third placed rider, Gerald eventually fell and went back to 6th position loosing 8 seconds. The Belgian rider did not give up, but started to perform a crazy race that thrilled the audience. Gerald even recorded the best lap time ridig faster than the leading rider of 2 seconds. At the very last lap, Delepine was breathing on first placed Iddon's neck, but did not succeeded in passing him and finished second at a few seco nds from the Aprilia rider.
This result made Delepine gain the red plate, the one that identifies the leader of the classification. Umbelivable victory for Thomas Chareyre who was author of two spectacular heats.
During race 1, after a fall, the young rider got the third place by riding the fastest lap of the race. In race 2, Thomas showed his skills by winning the race without any difficulties and preceeding his older brother Adrien and World Champion Thierry Van Den Bosch. Adrien got two second places and the third position in the overall classification.
Van Den Bosch is still leader of the S1 class, with the two French brothers getting closer to him. Completes these amazing results, Uros Nastran of Team Zupin.
