Vemar is one of a handful of helmet brands still manufactured in Europe and the Company produces a range of high quality, composite shell, race bred models in its advanced factory in Northern Italy. However, Vemar also makes several sophisticated injection-moulded helmets that offer high levels of style and specification at an affordable price.
The VXN Icarus Skin uses lightweight ATM (Advance Thermo Material) for its shell and weighs just 1390g, which is comparable to many composite shell helmets at two or three times the price. The 2.2mm visor has an anti-fog coating and can be changed quickly and without tools using the quick-release mechanism.
Comfort levels are also impressive. Ventilation is supplied through a generous vent on the chin bar, which is adjustable from the inside and maximises the flow of air through the helmet. The interior lining is removable and washable and treated with Antimicrobial Sanitized Protection to ensure it stays fresh. For convenience it is equipped with a seat buckle style fastening.
The Vemar VXN Icarus Skin carries the ACU Gold Badge and is produced in sizes XS – XL. It has a matt ‘skin’ finish and is available in three graphic styles - Black/Orange, Black/Blue and Black/Gun - priced at £119.99 and as a Matt Black option, selling for £109.99.
