Over the last few races thing have started to come together for the Team. Starting the season with new sponsors and a young Team has produced a few more obstacles than expected, but the path ahead is clearing for the second half of the season as our performance grows. On the Wednesday before our trip up to Scotland we had the pleasure of being invited to introduce the Team to ‘Intel UK’ at their headquarters, where it was our pleasure to present a Team Yamaha R1 to the Managing Director. Lisa blasted a couple of bikes up and down the car park for everyone’s entertainment and we are sure a brilliant day was had by all.

The seventh round of the series was held at Knockhill on the hill side above Dunfermline which always has hanging over it the possibilities of inclement highland weather but everything look good for qualifying

GP 125 - is still proving quite a task with flashes of promise spoiled by youthful antics. We are scoring points in the cup series but the riders now need to concentrate on personal performance to move towards the front – currently 12th in the standing we are targeting a better second half to the season.

Superstock - is coming together extremely well after a rider change early on – Jon Boy Lee is working brilliantly well with the team.
Being awarded man of the race awards in only his 1st race with the team and scoring valuable points in only his 3rd race, things were looking very good.

Our testing program has rewarded us with a great machine set up and the gelling of rider and bike combined with engine speed – our bike topped the speed trap sheets on every session of the weekend over the start/finish line.

For the 30 minute qualifying session that counted we had a good strategy with a possible 30 laps in hand. Jon Boy put together a great lap very early on securing his place on the grid he came in to the pits for the second part of the plan – We needed to look at tyre wear for race distance and find the 1 lap that made the difference for grid position - Race distance worked well but towards the end the lap came securing 5th on the grid less than 3/10th of a second off Pole.

Race day the weather turned and if you did not like it, you only had to wait 5 minutes and it changed again, this made tyre choice a nightmare for all the teams – We got it perfect and so did the organisers by declaring it a wet race others got it wrong! Jon Boy made a solid start but lost a couple of places on the first lap – On lap 3 he made his move and pushed for second and set off after the leader closing him down – as the rain got heavier the riders who had made the wrong tyre choice paid and started to fall by the wayside and the incredible decision was made to stop the race. Unfortunately the weather situation did not allow the race to be re-run so we will look to adding it to a later meeting creating a double header maybe a Donington Park. We are taking the positives from this meeting and look forward to the next race at Oulton Park in 2 weeks time where as always we look forward to seeing you.
