2008 will be upon us before we know it and planning for the exciting new World of BMW Activity Programme is now complete. More than two thousand customers enjoyed a World of BMW experience in 2007 and 2008 is set to be another exciting year for World of BMW with new courses on offer, more BMW Motorcycles to ride, together with more dates and activities to choose from.
BMW ToursFor 2008 Tour Director Richard Harvey has developed an extensive range of BMW Tours for both on and off-road riders. There are brand new tours to many locations around the world, ranging from a Moroccan Desert Adventure to tours in New Zealand, Southern Ireland and almost everywhere in between. Each tour is carefully designed to provide a two-wheeled trip of a lifetime, varying in length, mileage and terrain.
BMW Rider TrainingBMW Rider Training is managed by double Guinness World Record Holders, Kevin & Julia Sanders. Located on the edge of the beautiful Brecon Beacons the courses provide the opportunity to learn new skills from some of the highest qualified instructors in the UK, riding on some of the best biking roads in Britain. The training also provides new riders with the highest quality tuition in a friendly group environment; using the latest models from BMW Motorrad.
2008 is also a key year for anyone considering taking their motorcycle test. With a new, more complex, test being introduced in October, the demand for Direct Access courses is expected to be higher than ever, so book early to secure your place. BMW Rider Training boasts a higher than average national motorcycle test pass rate of 80% in comparison with a national average of 64%, so where better to take your test than with the World of BMW this year. CBT training and Individual Premium Training are also available.
BMW Off Road SkillsThousands of customers enjoy the hugely popular BMW Off Road Skills courses each year. The spectacular 4,000 acre Walters Arena Enduro Park in south Wales offers almost endless trails and terrains to suit all abilities. Courses are taught by an experienced team of BMW Off Road instructors, headed by six-times Dakar Rally competitor Simon Pavey. This year’s range of experiences has been extended to ensure there is an off-road experience to suit every type of rider, whether you are a complete off-road novice, or a rider with previous experience.
The highly acclaimed two-day Level One and Level Two courses continue in 2008, with Level One courses now split into two categories – Basic and Advanced. In addition, two new experiences have been introduced to this year’s programme: a ‘Day in the Dirt’ and the all new ‘Brecon Beacons Discovery’.
