The Team Relentless Suzuki squad enjoyed solid results at the Spanish round of the European MX2 Championship at the weekend, held at Alhama de Murcia, with Lewis Gregory taking a fifth place finish and team-mate Alex Snow in ninth.
Following a difficult round in France a few weeks earlier, where poor conditions hampered a back-to-back win for Gregory, Spain saw blistering heat in qualifying with Lewis finishing in 11th and Alex in 23rd.
By race-day, the conditions had changed to rain, and race-one was to be a repeat of the tricky conditions from a round earlier. After suffering a broken mudguard due to the mud, Lewis battled home to 20th, with an impressive ride from Alex, crossing the line in 16th spot.
With drying conditions in race two, both riders were able to display their true potential, with Lewis bringing his RM-Z250 home in fifth and Alex a super-strong ninth place.
Team manager Rob Hooper commented, “ It wasn’t an easy round, but I’m happy with the outcome. Credit must go to Alex. This was without a doubt his best ride of the season. He really earned his results, and we are all extremely proud of this, including Lewis. Well done to both”.
