The Supermoto World Championship arrived in Germany for its 5th round. In the S1 class the official Husqvarna Team’s riders Gerald Delepine and Ivan Lazzarini played the main role together with Bernd Hiemer. The Belgian World Champion in charge won the first heat beating his team-mate Lazzarini and Hiemer. Still in race 1 good performance for Maxime Testu of the Husqvarna SIMA team. The young French rider arrived 7th at the chequered flag. In race 2, Hiemer took immediately the control of the race and never gave up until the end. To get the GP, Gerald was just looking for the second place.

After starting from 4th position, the Belgian rider was already attacking Lazzarini, but suddenly he slide and got back to the 4th place. The Italian Champion Lazzarini maintain a good rhythm and the two secon d places conquered in the day that ensured him the second step of the podium. In the provisional classification both Delepine and Lazzarini got closer to Aprilia rider Iddon who suffered for some physical problems in Germany, while Bernd Hiemer is still leader of the S1 class.

In the S2 class, Thomas Chareyre was missing due to his right wrist injury occurred in France. His brother Adrien had an accident during the Saturday’s practice tests and sprained his left ankle. Chareyre took part to the race anyway and finished 6th and 7th gaining important points in the provisional classification where he’s still on third position together with Suzuki rider Eddy Seel, right behind Giraudo and leader Van Den Bosch.

Lazzarini gets second place and is now closer to Iddon in the classification with his teammate Delepine. Adrien Chareyre holds tight to the third place
