Last weekend, the members and the people behind londonbikers.com took the time out of their busy schedules to take part in a charity calendar photo shoot in aid of the HEMS London Air Ambulance, londonbikers.com's official charity. All of the profits raised from the calendar will be given to the Air Ambulance, which is a vital emergency service to the people living in and around London.
On Saturday the 2nd of December, deep in the Hertfordshire countryside, 14 londonbikers members and the three site owners Jay, Foxy and Matt all met up at a remote photographic studio, which had been hired out and paid for by LB member Lee (Lcaller). Lee also volunteered his services as the official photographer for the day. As the models for the day arrived and defrosted, and even before they could get themselves ready, they had to clean the winter grit and dirt of their bikes to get them gleaming, all ready for the shoot.
During the course of the day over 400 photos were taken, including a couple of rather risqué ones from Charlie and Foxy. Most of the other photos that were taken and not used in the calendar will be available to buy from a gallery on londonbikers.com at £5 each. All of the proceeds from these will also go to the London Air Ambulance.
“We are extremely proud of our members,” said Foxy, “they took the initiative to organise everything themselves and expose a little more that their charitable side. We hope the calendar and gallery shots sell really well, and we make lots of money for the London Air Ambulance. We’d like to thank all of those members who took part, gave their time and money to make this calendar happen.”
