Kawasaki Motors UK is the latest leading motorcycle manufacturer to announce its 2008 model line-up to be unveiled to the UK market for the very first time at the International Motorcycle and Scooter Show at the Birmingham NEC (23rd November – 2nd December). Among the impressive line-up of new bikes are the updated ZX-10R and VN2000, both of which are set to be huge draws for the thousands of expected fans. The motorcycle giant’s announcement comes just two days after its fellow Japanese manufacturer Yamaha also unveiled an exciting line-up of new models to be on display at this year’s Show. With further announcements from all the other leading manufacturers expected over the coming weeks, the NEC Show is set to play host to more UK bike launches than ever before – the only place in the UK that all the 2008 models from all the biggest names will be on display at the same time, under one roof.

The flagship Kawasaki ZX-10R has some radical styling changes, with aggressive new MotoGP styling and a single, sculpted exhaust, which has a truly unique look. This potent machine has not only seen styling changes, the engine has been developed for even more high-rpm power and the chassis tuned to give better rider feedback. Also modified for 2008; the massive Kawasaki VN2000 custom cruiser. This machine epitomises the “long and low” Cruiser concept with acres of chrome and leg room. The new machine has seen detailed changes to the seating and handlebars to increase rider and pillion comfort, plus a new styled speedo and tank mounted ignition system.

Kawasaki will be exhibiting their full range of models including road and off road machines at this year’s NEC Bike Show. Also on display will be a selection of Kawasaki’s awesome race bikes from MotoGP, World Superbikes, World Motocross and a very special ZX12 drag bike. Kawasaki will take its place alongside the leading names in global motorcycling at this year’s Show as an all-star line-up of manufacturers has once again been confirmed. Leading names include BMW, Buell, CCM, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Hyosung, KTM, PGO Scooters, Suzuki, Triumph, Vectrix, Victory Motorcycles, Watsonian Squire, Wuyang and Yamaha.

Paul Cross, Marketing Manager for Kawasaki Motors UK, commented:

“The NEC Bike Show is the most important date in the UK biker’s calendar and the obvious place for us to showcase our incredible range of new bikes for the first time in the UK. Bikers come from across the country to get to this Show and we have a really compelling line-up of exciting new 2008 models for them to see up close.”

Finlay McAllan, Managing Director of MCI Exhibitions, commented on today’s announcement:

“Kawasaki’s new 2008 models are certain to be a huge draw and we are delighted that they have again chosen the UK’s biggest bike Show to give the UK public their first look at them. With Yamaha’s new model announcement a few days ago and many more such announcements expected from all the other big names in the weeks to come, the Show is shaping up to have the most comprehensive and incredible collection of new bikes ever. Even the most hardened biker will be dribbling with excitement!”
