The Motor Cycle Industry Association has adopted the slogan 'Have You Got the F Factor?' for this years National Motorcycle Week 16th -23rd July. The slogan will help promote four key factors that express the joy of riding a bike or scooter.

Fun
Freedom,
Flexibility
Friendship

Throughout the week events will be taking place across the UK as dealers, companies and individuals organise a range of activities including bikers breakfasts, open days and ride-outs.

Ride to Work Day takes place on 19th July and this is the time for all riders to encourage their non-riding friends and colleagues to experience the thrills of two-wheels and get them to hop on board for a pillion ride.

Ride to Work day aims to demonstrate that people from all walks of life use and enjoy motorcycles, mopeds and scooters and that the transport system and environment can reap the rewards of more machines on the road.

Craig Carey-Clinch, MCI's Director of Public Affairs said, "Motorcycles have an integral role in the transport system and National Motorcycle Week aims to highlight the practical aspects such as the flexibility, convenience and cost-effectiveness of riding and at the same time demonstrate the social dimension.

"Fun and friendship are two significant factors in bike ownership and many people join clubs, go to events, participate in group riding, go on holidays and tours to share the passion and freedom that attracts people to the world of two-wheels."

Anyone who is interested in organising an event can get a FREE Organiser's Pack and poster from the website, the link for this is below. The MCIA can also promote any events on its website, so would welcome feedback from any organisers who can email Samantha @mcia.co.uk.
