Police have released the name of a motorcycle passenger who was killed in a crash involving a car.

Michael Grosse, 17, of Mulbarton near Norwich, was riding pillion on a Yamaha which collided with a Skoda at Horsham St Faith on Monday morning.

The 17-year-old motorcyclist, from the Norwich area, suffered bruising and was treated at the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital.

The 86-year-old Skoda driver suffered shock but was otherwise unhurt.

An inquest into the death of Mr Grosse has yet to be opened by the coroner, but his family said his vital organs have been donated to help others.

Mr Grosse's father, Justin, said: "Michael was a genuinely nice person.

"He was very kind and caring and his conscious decision to carry a donor card reflected his consideration for others and many people will now benefit as a result of his death.

"He was also very balanced and fair and supported his brother and sister through different times.

"He was always straight down the middle and impartial - and that was one of the greatest qualities Michael had. He was a real backbone."
