Reigning Suzuki GB Technician of the Year, Julian Cameron of Infinity Motorcycles in Farnborough, has successfully secured a place in Suzuki’s World Skills contest in Japan later this year.
Julian, who has worked at Infinity’s Farnborough dealership for eight years, scooped the coveted Technician of the Year award last year, qualifying to compete with the best in Europe earlier this month. Finishing inside the top five, with colleagues from Austria, Belgium, Finland and Germany, Julian will travel to the Suzuki factory in Hamamatsu, Japan in October to complete in the World Finals.
Speaking after his European success, Julian commented, “It was an honour to be crowned Technician of the Year, but to now qualify for the World Finals at the factory in Japan is unbelievable. I am extremely proud to be able to represent both Infinity Motorcycles and Suzuki GB”.
To qualify for his Japan trip, Julian had to sit a written test and complete five practical tasks successfully, testing his technical knowledge both in theory and practice.
Rob Puttick of Infinity Motorcycles was delighted. “Julian is a credit to the company and we’re all extremely proud of his achievements. At Infinity we encourage all our staff to develop their skills because we recognise that this is fundamental to offering good customer service. We all wish Julian the best of luck at the finals in Japan”.
