Motor racing enthusiasts, novices and professionals will come together at the new London Motorsport Show, held on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 December at London's ExCeL, to celebrate all disciplines of motorsport. Incorporating the well established London Kart Show, the new element expands on the popular kart racing to include rally driving, saloons and single-seater racers.
The show is aimed at those teams and individuals who already compete in motorsport, as well as those who have an interest at grass roots level and want to know how to start racing competitively. Race series organisers, circuits, racing teams, engine and chassis manufacturers, and a host of performance-related product and race clothing suppliers will be on hand to provide visitors with everything they need to get started.
The London Kart Show, now in its fourth year, is the UK's only exhibition dedicated to the sport of karting and offers a complete showcase of everything required to start racing or, for the experienced racer - what you need for the forthcoming season. Karting is where Formula 1 drivers such as Jenson Button started, before working their way up through the various disciplines that lead to the Grand Prix circuit.
Show organiser Phillip Bunn said: "With the growing interest in motorsport, there needed to be a show that could educate the enthusiasts interested in how to go about participating in such an exhilarating sport. If we can encourage any of our visitors to start racing competitively, we are helping to create the future of British motorsport and potentially may find ourselves the next Nigel Mansell or Damon Hill."
There will also be free workshops offering mechanical advice, racing tips, media awareness and much more, from racing professionals and organisations such as the Motor Sports Association and the Association of British Kart Clubs. Outside of the halls will be two 'have a go'
circuits -- one for karting, the other for rallying - where visitors can test their driving skills against the world's best.
The London Motorsport Show is a must for any motor racing enthusiast - whether you dream of driving competitively, a die-hard enthusiast or a professional racer. For further information visit the links below. To book tickets, call the booking line on tel: 01444 246456.
