Sykes & Watanabe Ready To Greet The Public

Rizla Suzuki’s newly signed riders Tom Sykes and Atsushi Watanabe will make their first public appearance together on Thursday 22nd November during the International Motorcycle Show at the NEC in Birmingham. The Motorcycle Show runs from press/trade day on the 22nd November to Sunday 2nd December and will play host to numerous motorcycling stars including Sykes and Watanabe.

This is the first time double Japanese Champion, Watanabe will meet his team-mate and visit the show. He said: “First time to meet Tom is very special. I hope we can work well for Rizla Suzuki and I am look forward to meeting British fans. Everyone tell me they are the best fans – we will see!”

Sykes is also keen to get to know his team-mate and start his time with Rizla Suzuki. “The show will be my first public appearance as an official Rizla Suzuki rider and that is an exciting prospect,” enthused Sykes. “I can’t wait to meet Watanabe and spend more time with my team. I’ve heard the show will have a lot going on and I’m looking forward to having a good look round.”

Tom will return to the Suzuki stand on Wednesday 28th November for the Bennetts British Superbike Awards which will be held on the Black Horse Stage; as well as appearing on the Suzuki stand on Saturday and Sunday 1st and 2nd December.

Rizla Suzuki has a full winter test schedule planned for the GSX-R1000 and the new riders – further details will be reported on www.rizla-suzuki.co.uk.
