Bennetts' Xmas Campaign Comes Good For Instructor
A retired police motorcyclist, Boast is currently a ride assessor for SERV Blood Bikes, a charity which provides a platform for volunteers to administer the crucial service of delivering blood to local hospitals. Boast uses his biking experience to provide motorcycle instruction to friends and family on the roads. He is now keen to set up a new voluntary scheme to help other riders improve their riding skills.
Boast took part in the ‘12 Dreams of Christmas’ campaign which will reveal a biking dream prize each day from the 11th to 24th December. He submitted his dream on the Bennetts Biking Dreams website to own a Drift HD camera and Apple iPad so he can now give his pupils improved feedback having filmed and instructed them while out riding on the roads.
On receiving his prize, Boast said: “I’m just absolutely overwhelmed. It’s brilliant, absolutely brilliant. I’ve lost a job recently and I put in for the dream thinking, ‘oh, I won’t win that!’ but you know I have. I’ve ridden a motorbike since my dad put me on a field bike when I was about 6 years old and I just can’t get them out of my system. I’ll never stop riding motorbikes, I used to be a police motorcyclist.
“My wife is over the moon, she’s absolutely chuffed! She knew I’d been struggling as I’ve lost my job so it’s just nice to get a lift.”
For every dream entered, Bennetts has continued to donate £1 to the Bennetts Better Biking Fund, the proceeds of which will be donated to various UK motorcycle-related causes once the total raised reaches £5,000.
Hannah Squirrell, Bennetts’ Marketing Director said: “We fulfil various biking dreams throughout the year however the ’12 Dreams of Christmas’ is our personal favourite Biking Dreams campaign. There’s no better time of year to deliver a surprise gift and some added seasonal cheer.”
This is the second year that Bennetts has run the ’12 Dreams of Christmas’ campaign following the success last Christmas when over 1600 biking fans entered the campaign. All motorcycle fans who have submitted their Biking Dream in the past year at Bennetts Biking Dreams will automatically be in with a chance of having that dream fulfilled as part of the ’12 Dreams of Christmas’ campaign.
