Ace Cafe Go Racing At Brands BSB With T3 Racing's Supersport 675
The Ace Cafe T3 Racing Team are bringing their bike the ‘Ace Cafe Racer’ to Brands Hatch this weekend for BSB's opening round, to compete for the very first time.
The ‘Ace Cafe Racer’ is a Triumph Daytona 675R tuned up by the experts at T3 Racing. Owner of T3 Racing and team principal, Tony Scott has commented that the bike is already staggeringly fast: “We’re already as fast as the bike we worked on for Luke Jones last year and we’ve only done half of what we plan to!”
Riding the bike will be Rob Guiver, last year’s Triumph Triple Challenge champion. Guiver won the championship one round before the end of the season and went on to finish almost 90 points ahead of his nearest competitor.
Ace Cafe will also be bringing their hospitality for the nine rounds of British Superbikes that the Triumph Triple Challenge are racing.
T3 Racing and the Ace Cafe London first joined together to build the Ace 904S Thruxton Special back in 2009.
Mark Wilsmore, director at the Ace Cafe London and initiator of the Ace Cafe Reunion, spoke about why they decided to work with T3 Racing on these projects:
“The collaboration with T3 Racing began with the Ace 904S Thruxton Special and the reason that came about is because T3 Racing know Triumphs! This year being the Cafe’s 75th anniversary we decided to revive our racing heritage - we love speed, we love racing and it has to be Triumphs, so it has to be T3.”
Tony Scott, from T3 Racing commented on how the relationship began:
“The Ace Cafe is an iconic brand with a clear link to Triumph Motorcycles in its history. We already new the Ace well through our cooperation on the 904S and they are good people to work with, when the opportunity presented itself to join with them we needed no persuasion. We have been racing at BSB in Stock and Supersport for the past two years now and have never failed to finish in the top two of our chosen championship, I feel confident that this alliance will bring a fresh team and a great vibe to the BSB paddock.”
This weekend the Ace Cafe T3 Racing team will compete for the first time in the British Supersport series at Round 1 of British Superbikes.
