Husqvarna Dakar Teams For 2013
The Husqvarna Rallye Team by Speedbrain will again have its sights set on the podium when it lines up at the 35th edition of the desert classic in January 2013.
The team from Stephanskirchen, Germany, will receive factory support from Husqvarna Motorcycles and the BMW Group. The bike charged with achieving success in South America in January is the Husqvarna TE449RR by Speedbrain, which made its debut at the 2012 Dakar Rally and has since been further comprehensively developed.
This time, a total of five off-road bikes, which were developed and assembled in Stephanskirchen, will line up at the start. They will be ridden by Joan Barreda (ESP), Paulo Gonçalves (POR), Alessandro Botturi (ITA) and Matt Fish (AUS). In addition, there is an agreement between Speedbrain and Jordi Viladoms (ESP), who will use a TE449RR as a privateer at the 2013 Dakar Rally.
Simon Pavey & Team Delta Kunststoffe Husqvarna UK: Husqvarna UK Team for 2013 Dakar
Husqvarna UK will be sponsoring the legendary Dakar racer Simon Pavey as part of his UK based Team Delta Kunststoffe Husqvarna UK.
Riding a specially adapted Husqvarna TE449, this will be the ninth time Simon has raced in this epic off-road enduro event. He has already secured an amazing seven finisher’s medals to date. The 2013 edition will see Simon returning with a support crew to compete in the Marathon Class.
