The third round of the '06 WEC series was one of the toughest world championship enduro events for many years. With a difficult course and three challenging special tests many riders failed to finish the event. With the weather wet on day one and hot on day two all riders were left feeling a little second hand at the event of the event.

On day one Bartosz posted consistently fast special test times and won the first timed extreme tests. Battling all day long with Italian Alessandro Belometti, Oblucki finished just one and a half seconds behind the second placed rider at the end of the seven and a half hour day. Making few mistakes despite the hard conditions, Bartosz then performed well again on day two. Unable to be quite as fast on day two due to the drier conditions giving an advantage to the four-stroke mounted riders ahead of him Bartosz placed in a well deserved fourth position.

CH Racing Husqvarna/Red Bull rider Bartosz Oblucki Bartosz currently sits in fifth position in the 2006 Enduro 1 world championship.

Bartosz Oblucki: "Day one went really well. I know that my bike is competitive when the conditions are a little slippery and I rode well. I was close to finishing in second but I just missed out by less than one and a half seconds. In the morning my good test times came really easily. In the afternoon I gave it my all to try and finish third. It was a great day and I was only 20 seconds behind Ivan Cervantes, who won.

"I was completely destroyed at the end of the second day's competition. I pushed really hard at the end of the first day to try and finish in second, which took a lot of energy. I made a few mistakes on day two but they didn't affect my result in any way. The only test that I was able to get top three was on the extreme test, I couldn't match the pace of the top three riders on the motocross or enduro test no matter how hard I was trying. It has been a good weekend."
