Not only will there be winners on track at this year’s BMF Show, visitors will also have the chance of winning a brand new Yamaha R6 worth nearly £7,500 in a free to enter prize draw! There will be other winners too, this time in the BMF Show’s arena track events. For the first time ever, the BMF Show will be featuring Short Track Racing. A cross between supermoto and speedway racing, Short Track is based on USA Flat Track racing, considered one of America’s all-time great motor sports.
New to the UK in 2005, the BMF Show will now play host to the third round of the Silkolene Shorttrack UK series. Featuring top riders from various racing backgrounds and nationalities, including last year’s champion, Italian rider Marco Belli on a Harley Davidson, Short Track racing will feature a wide variety of bikes from single cylinder through to multi-cylinder 1000cc hybrids from a whole host of manufacturers.
At the other end of the scale, the BMF’s famous Moped Enduro always features a winner, but with a massive field of 65 Teams, competition is going to be fiercer than ever!
With just five weeks still to go, traders have snapped up bookings with the indoor trade area full and 95% of outdoor plots already taken. Honda; Yamaha; Kawasaki; BMW; Triumph and KTM will be displaying their latest ranges as will all the major clothing and accessory retailers such as Frank Thomas, Hein Gericke and Oxford Products.
Regularly attracting upwards of 85,000 people, the BMF Show is acknowledged as the biggest of its type in Europe. With the ever–popular Vintage Speedway demo racing, main arena stunts; ‘The BIS’ Best in Show competition; an autojumble; the Two-Wheel Tours section; a Try-It-Out area for newcomers, plus fair rides and side shows for all ages, it’s no surprise that the BMF has become THE annual fixture for thousands of enthusiasts.
For BMF members, there is also the Memba Rally camping weekend running in conjunction with the BMF Show providing BMF members with an exclusive event of their own, complete with bands and entertainment on the Friday and Saturday nights.
