Husqvarna Racing - MX Of Nations In France

At the end of every motocross season there is traditionally the MX of Nations which was held this year in St. Jean d'Angély in France. For the Italian team the Husqvarna factory rider Alessandro Lupino was nominated. Alessandro continued in France where he stopped at the last GP in Fermo Italy. A 6th place in the pre-qualifying practice and in the qualifying-race underlined again his very good personal form and the improved performance of his Husqvarna. On Sunday morning after the warm-up session everybody was amazed that Lupino was able to improve his 6th place from Saturday to a 5th place. So the whole Italian team hoped that the Husqvarna MX2 rider would end the season with a big bang. Sadly misfortune reached Alessandro Lupino again like so many times before in the 2011 season. In the first race he had to retire because a stone got betweenchain and pinion and destroyed his bike, in the second race he had a crash. With a little bit more luck and continuing the improvements it will be a really good season in 2012.

German Cross Country Championship Gonçalves defends championship lead

Last weekend the German Cross Country Championship was held in Schwabhausen for its 6th round. The championship-leaders Paulo Gonçalves on Husqvarna and Christian Weiss didn't get their best day. At the end of the day Husqvarna speedbrain rider Gonçalves was only able to finish 7th but this was enough to keep the Championship lead in the XC-Pro-class with an 11 points gap. Dennis Schroeter from the Husqvarna Zupin team was able to finish again on the podium with a good 3rd place and strengthened his 3rd position in the Championship. Now the gap to Christian Weiss is only 6 points.

International German Supermoto Championship Mauno Hermunen rocks Freiburg

On the penultimate event of the season Mauno Hermunen traveled to Freiburg as Championship leader. A win the first race and a fourth place in the second one was enough to decide the Championship. During the whole season the Finn on his SM449 showed that he was the man to beat. So the last event will be a big victory lap for Mauno.

Canadian Enduro Championship: Husqvarna riders at the top

The Canadian Enduro Championship took place in La Belle (Quebec) on the 10th -11th September. Guy Giroux replaced the injured Phillip Chaine and changed his TE310 for a TXC250. The results were impressive, Guy won both races and one weekend later he did it again.

So after four races Giroux is on second place in the Championship with the maximum amount of 100 points to gain in 4 races. Ryan Graffunder who represents Husqvarna in the E3-open-class finished in La Belle both races in 2nd position and was also able to score a 2nd and a 4th place at the MotoPark in Chatsworth Ontario. Thanks to these results he is the strongest contender of Championship leader Geoff Nelson with a 31 point gap. The Husqvarna talent Samuel Rousseau showed again his skills by dominating the La Belle event with two wins and scoring two podiums in Chatsworth with a 3rd and a 2nd place.
