Ben Gautrey's Funeral Is Today - Details Below
The bikes will be meeting at 1pm at the Macdonalds at the front in Southport, its right next to the pier on the coastal road. The aim is to leave at 1.30pm to reach the church for 1.40.
The riders are not escorting the coffin as the hearse is to be horse drawn and the rest of the family will be walking with the hearse as it is only a short distance from Bens family home.
There will be Ben 25 stickers made that will be on sale on the day for a suggested donation of one pound or whatever sum you see fit. The proceeds of sales will go to the air ambulances that attend the BSB meetings, Ben didnt make it to the helicopter in time but these donations could help to save another racers life.
After the service it will be family only at the burial, however across the road at Meols Hall we have arranged an after service event to celebrate Bens life, there will be a hog roast and bar etc and we would love you all to attend and share your stories of Bens life with each other.
Please come as you normally dress and as Ben knew you, try and find something green and orange as it was the team colours if you can.
Large vehicles/motorhomes/trucks etc please go to the Moss lane entrance to Meols Hall which is a large Park with plenty of room. Stewards will be there to assist you and the church is 5 minutes walk from where you will be parking.
The postcode/ address for Meols Hall is… Meols Hall, Botanic Rd, Southport, Merseyside PR9 7LZ, but look on Google maps for the Moss lane entrance as that is the one you are using. ......
