The sculptured Moto GP-style outlet silencers, fit directly on the underbody of the under-body of the original item and are made from lightweight satin stainless steel. The bike performance is boostedthrough an overall weight savingof 20%, allied to an increase in engine output. But the Hydroformed silencers also enhance the aesthetics of the technically-advanced Yamaha R6.
The silencers are available initially as race-legal items, comforming to FIM noise regulations and are retailing for just £225.00 including VAT. Micron plans to make a road-legal version very shortly. Micron is the only motorcycle exhaust manufacturer to Hydroform silencers fully and was the first company to introduce Hydroform pipework almost six years ago.
