Trackstar-Racing will be fielding a new and exciting team in 2007 in both the British Superbike and British Superstock Championships. Having already confirmed Brian McCormack for Superbike, the team announced Martin Buckles as their Superstock rider for 2007. The team will follow MV Agusta's current racing program by competing in the highly competitive Superstock Championship whilst also developing the 2007 F4 1000R machine in the BSB Superbike class.
Trackstar-Racing added “We are very pleased to announce both Brian and Martin as our two riders for 2007. Martin Buckles has proved himself a very quick rider this season by finishing 2nd overall in the Superstock Cup Championship. He has a lot of ability which we hope to help develop together, he has already had a session on the MV Agusta F4 1000R and put in quick times straight off the mark.”
Martin said "I am really happy to be given this chance to ride a full factory machine. I know there will be a lot of learning to be done during winter testing. I have full support from MV Agusta and Trackstar-Racing and we are very positive. I know the circuits and it'll just be a question of set-up and adapting my racing style a little before I'm at the front challenging”.
Trackstar-Racing is also planning to enter the team into various Superbike and Superstock rounds of WorldSBK and AMA Superbikes with Imola, Silverstone, Brands Hatch and Road Atlanta as their targeted races.
