Maser (TV), 11 July, 2011 - Tony Cairoli doesn’t like settling for second place; he would rather win all the time and put on a show for his fans. However, the phenomenon from the Sidi Sport stables has grown into an expert rider by now, and he understands that in order to conquer the world title it’s especially important to be consistent and collect valuable points in all of the races.
So in the German Grand Prix held on Sunday, July 10 th on the Teutschenthal circuit, Cairoli raced with intelligence on the back of his KTM, settling for finishing both heats in second place to end up second in the final classification for this Grand Prix, ceding victory to Russian Evgeny Bobryshev. Unfortunately, Cairoli was involved in slide outs in both rounds of the race, but both times he managed to recuperate and catch up to the Russian’s wake, although he didn’t pass him.
The Sidi Sport house also got a couple of good performances from Portuguese rider Rui Goncalves (Honda) and Germany ’s Maximilian Nagl (KTM). The two riders ended up just shy of the podium, in fourth and fifth positions of the final standings of the GP, respectively. Thanks to this important placement Cairolihas increased his lead in the run for the world title, to more than an 18-point advantage over his closest rival, the Belgian Clement Desalle.
As always, battling it out in the dirt on circuits the world over, Tony Cairoli and the other riders from the Sidi Sport stables can count on Crossfire, the number one boot from the Sidi collection for motocross and off-roading.
