A disappointed Gerald Delepine closed the Melk race on the third step of the podium. The Supermoto World Champion in charge performed the fastest lap on Saturday during the time practices, but then was not able to create the same magic during the race of Sunday. In race 1, Delepine got a second place right behind Hiemer, after an amazing recover from the 4h position. In race 2, Gerald claimed his revenge on Hiemer and raced with passion and determination to conquer the top of the lines and leaving Hiemer and Iddon behind his back.
"As soon as I found myself ahead of the race I was confident of the result - said Gerald at the end of the race - "I knew there was a big gap between me and the second and third places so I was almost sure that I was going to win the GP. Unfortunately, at only 3 laps from the very end one of the last riders was right on my way and I could not avoid him and I fell. That's just too bad."
Unlucky day also for Gerald's class and team mate Ivan Lazzarini. In race 1 the Italian rider broke the transmission chain after a few laps from the start. In race 2 Lazzarini finished on third place at a few seconds from the first riders. In the S2 class only Adrien Chareyre succeeded in conquering the third position in race 2, while in race 1 he withdraw from the race after a bad fall. Inconstant races for both Davide Gozzini and Thomas Chareyre due to bad start and falls. The most regular resulted Gozzini who ended both races on 11th and 8th places respectively.
