British hero James Toseland is on blistering form as he heads to his home circuit for the next round of the World Superbike Championship, and after taking a win and a second place last weekend at Brno he's extended his championship lead to 43 points. Toseland will have it far from easy at Brands Hatch though as he looks to score his first-ever victory at the Kent track. Max Biaggi will be fighting at the front of the pack even though he's never raced on the 2.3 mile Grand Prix circuit, and Troy Bayliss and Troy Corser have both taken wins there in the past few seasons.

Bayliss said: "We always seem to get good results at Brands and I really like racing there. It's got a great atmosphere and the British Round of the championship always attracts a fantastic crowd."

Noriyuki Haga is a real Brands Hatch specialist and is looking to get back on the top step of the podium after missing out at Brno.

Haga said: "Brands Hatch is a good circuit; I like it because it's undulating and you can hear the crowd as you race. It is one of the biggest races on the calendar, for the riders as well as the fans."

The atmosphere at Brands Hatch will be incredible, with a British hero taking on some of the best riders in the world at a circuit with superlative viewing for spectators. There's entertainment off-circuit too, with Jamie Whitham's band -  the legendary Po Boys.
