Suzuki’s GSX-R1000K7 has proved one of the most popular sportsbikes of 2007 both on the road and at racetracks around the world. Likewise Yoshimura’s Racing Slip-On for the K7 – using only one silencer – has been equally in demand, having sold out twice already this year. A shipment is due imminently, but supplies will be limited.

Yoshimura has had a long-standing and very close connection to the Suzuki factory and in July the Yoshimura Suzuki GSX-R1000 ridden by Yukio Kagayama and Kousuke Akiyoshi took victory at the prestigious Suzuka 8 Hour race in Japan. Every Yoshimura part is proven in competition and comes with a guarantee of high quality and high performance.

Three Yoshimura GSX-R1000K7 Racing Slip-On options are available;

Stainless (150-508-5450) - £417.92 (inc. VAT)
Titanium (150-508-5480) - £461.46 (inc. VAT)
Carbon (150-508-5490) - £504.99 (inc. VAT)

The Yoshimura Racing Slip-On boosts power and torque in the mid-range and is a marked improvement over stock. Also, at 3.1kg it’s two thirds lighter than the OE cans that weigh in at 10.3 kg. Based on the stubby K5/K6 Tri Oval slip-on it uses a new mounting system with a bracket behind the silencer, and also a small aero cover at the front. Since the original bike has an O2 sensor a boss to mount it is included.

The dB-killer (138-138-5414) has proved itself a popular addition and works just as well with the K7 Racing Slip-On, reducing noise from 105.5dB to 99.5dB when fitted and retails at £34.83 (inc. VAT).
