Alpos selected 1mm sheet aluminium with sectional aluminium components to construct their cases, which allows them to be both lightweight and robust. Their top-hinged lids open from the rear edge and close against a rubber seal to keep out water, dust and other elements, while the Alpos cases themselves are resistant against corrosion, weather conditions and temperatures. Owners can fit additional locks to enable greater security of valuables.
With strong, synthetic covered safety spring handles, Alpos cases simplify transport, make carrying easy and give a robust, go-anywhere appearance to any bike. Model specific mounting frames are available from Bykebitz, however Alpos adaptor kits may also be purchased, priced at £32.99 per side, which enable the DIY-user to adapt the boxes to most existing rack systems.
The 36-litre cases measure 365 x 490 x 270mm (H x L x D) and weigh in at a modest 3.4kg, selling for £150.00 (Pair) including VAT.
