Vemar’s ‘URBAN messages’ range of helmets is sure to put a smile on riders’ faces, not only because of the bright colour schemes and wacky titles, but also thanks to their high quality and specification for the price. The inspiration for the collection came from graffiti on the streets of Milan, which gives the ‘URBAN messages’ helmets an authentic and 'cheeky' appeal.

These demi-jet style helmets have an integral visor that is injection moulded in 2.2 mm thick polycarbonate with anti-scratch treatment. The shell is manufactured ATM (Advanced Thermo Material) in 2 outer sizes to give a better balance of comfort and safety across the size range, which runs from X-Small to X-large. It is held firmly in place with a snap chinstrap closure system and ventilation is provided through airways beneath clear side pods.

It’s not only on the outside that the ‘URBAN messages’ collection is striking, because the interior linings come in a range of vivid colours, including lime green, bright red and tangerine. However, Vemar have chosen high-tech breathable ‘Japan’ material that is A.S.P. (Antimicrobial Sanitized Protection) treated, helping to keep the wearer feeling as cool and fresh as they look. The cheek pads are also removable so that they can be replaced/refreshed with ease.

Vemar produce the ‘URBAN messages’ range in sizes X-Small to X-Large, priced at £89.99. There are six messages to choose from; ‘Love Movement’ and ‘No Fear’ on matt black backgrounds and ‘Way Out’, ‘Canconiglio’, ‘Maiale Face’ and ‘Martin DJ’ on matt white shells. Vemar even include a kit to transform the helmet into an open-face jet with peak or jet with visor.
