TT stars including 13-times winners John McGuinness and Dave Molyneux will be among the guests at the TT 2008 launch party on Monday.

The Villa Marina in Douglas will play host to the launch on February 18. Doors open at 7pm for the event, which is open to the public. Entry is free.

The event will be broadcast live on iomtt.com and the official TT station, Manx Radio, compered by Manx Radio DJs and TT commentators Tim Glover and Chris Kinley. You can listen free on iomtt.com from 6.30 pm when a special streaming link will be made available.

The line-up of leading riders and teams will include Ian Hutchinson, who claimed his first TT win last year, Guy Martin, who claimed three podium finishes at the Centenary TT and Bruce Anstey, who won yet another Superstock TT in 2007.

Martin Finnegan, Steve Plater, Duke Road Race Rankings champion Conor Cummins and some exciting newcomers will also be making an appearance.

With the sidecar races at TT 2008 poised to be the most competitive for many years, several top racers have confirmed they will attend the launch party.

In addition to the legendary Moly, John Holden, Tim Reeves, Steve Norbury and Nick Crowe will be there.

Plus, many of the main team bosses and senior industry figures are also expected at the event to announce their plans and expectations for TT 2008.

The Isle of Man Government’s Department of Tourism and Leisure will also be announcing the entertainment schedule that will be taking place during TT, as well as detailing an exciting development with the Parade Lap on Senior Race day.

DTL TT and Motorsport Manager Paul Phillips said:

‘This will be the fans’ chance to hear all of our exciting plans for the 2008 TT races, and I can promise that we will be announcing the participation of some prestigious new teams and riders, as well as the return of old favourites.’

A set of four new posters featuring the four winning riders at the Centenary TT, McGuinness, Hutchinson, Anstey and Molyneux, is now available.

These A3, colour glossy prints are available free from the Welcome Centre at the Sea Terminal, Douglas, or the TT Marshals Association Offices behind the TT Grandstand.

Fans are encouraged to pick them up ahead of the launch party as all four riders will be there on the night and will be available to sign their respective prints.
