Alstare's Xavier Ready To Pounce

Team Alstare Suzuki Corona Extra rider Xavier Simeon finished third quickest after first qualifying and is ready for an improvement in tomorrrow’s final qualifying. Despite a small crash, fortunately without injury, Xavier is confident about his prospects at Assen this weekend. Nicola Canepa (Ducati) set the day’s fastest lap, with a time of 1:48.042, with Andrea Antonelli (Honda) second.

For some reason, my bike didn’t work so well here today, compared to when I raced here earlier this year. That’s probably because the conditions are different - today was much warmer. But, it’s something we will work on tomorrow and I’m sure we’ll be in good shape for the race. I’m not sure why I crashed today. The front just tucked in and I was on the floor before I knew it. But, I didn’t hurt myself so that’s OK. I feel tomorrow will be a much better day.
