My First time on the TT circuit, after a 20 minute delay. Steve Plater and Kieth Amor where in the first group and I was in the Second group. Our first lap is controlled behind a travelling Marshall in groups of 4. I had decided to ride my MTC Exhaust 750 Suzuki first has it would allow me to be lazy with the gears, so I could concentrate on the TT course. I just took it steady the marshal looked really smooth the only problem was there where to other newcomers in front who obscured the view weren’t really on the marshal’s lines. Anyway I made around a lap.

We where brought back into the pits to restart. I jumped of my 750 onto my fully fuelled Robinsons of Rochdale Triumph 675 and set of again down bray hill the bike felt so light and flick able compared to the 750. This was first lap alone wow how scary. Managed to wobble round picking up references along the way. When I arrived at Milltown the marshals where holding rain flags out. So I backed off and rode steady again just picking up references. The wet surface was pritty much up to the mountain mile. So after there I tried a little harder again but really steady.

I got down to the nook knowing I was going to do my first flying lap past my team and that if didn't look fast I would have the Mick took out of me for the entire 2 weeks. So hammered the triumph down to bray hill past the pits (as you can see on the clip) and down bray hill wow how awesome is bray hill in top gear, sorry to say I did role the throttle a little but I'll get there.  The second lap was another steady going faster in places I felt I had clear markers.

At the end of the second lap I came in and jump back onto the 750 as I had 2 mins before they end the session. Set off on the 750 wow how this bike wheels over every bump. Really enjoyed this lap as some of the top boys like Ian Hutchinson and Guy Martin came past me through Glen Helen section and they looked really smooth showing me some good lines. So steady following any quick boys for a couple of bends.  Then Kirk Michael this is where I really feel good and that I know so I was flat out through here. Next minute I when to apex the last left and John McGuiness was along side me,  really sh*t me up, he apologies and I followed him through rencullen. What a god this guy is through here.

After the session John explained what happened, he caught me really fast from the 11th to the 13th mile stones places I'm still struggling. So he had it planned that he would just blip past me through kirk Michael but I caught him out as I was quite fast through kirk Michael. I was really please as it quit a compliment.

I will let you all know how Tuesday night practice goes. I'm praying for no rain.
